New Honda CR-V awarded five star Euro NCAP rating

The new Honda CR-V has been awarded the maximum five-star rating in the latest Euro NCAP safety tests. The rating is a result of the CR-V's unique body structure giving class-leading rigidity and stiffness, plus a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies.

The vehicle has been built with a number of concepts and technologies to enhance the CR-V's safety. The concept of 'All Directions Collisions Safety' has been utilised alongside Honda's next-generation ACE™ (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) body structure, this works by connecting structural elements to distribute collision energy more evenly. The result is a reduction in force transferred to the passenger cell in the event of impact, providing superior protection to the front, side and rear of the vehicle.

The passive safety features work alongside Honda's suite of active safety and driver assist technologies, Honda Sensing™. This is one of the most comprehensive suites of safety technologies in its class. It uses a combination of radar, camera information and high-tech sensors to warn and assist the driver of any potentially dangerous scenarios.

The CR-V has joined the Jazz, HR-V and Civic with the maximum five-star score by Euro NCAP.
